Two more people have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, authorities confirmed.
The arrests come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, a pair of female travelers had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Officers arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
